FEED A STUDENT

Each day, participating schools throughout York Region offer breakfasts, snacks and/or lunches that include fruits, vegetables and healthy whole grain items and protein to ensure kids are well-nourished throughout the school day. Your donation- which goes to buying food to feed students or for programs in desperate need of a fridge or other equipment to prepare or store food- will make a difference in the lives of elementary and high school students!

Children are our future. Let’s feed them today.

What does it cost?
A snack consisting of two food groups costs approximately $1.25 per snack. A breakfast consisting of three food groups costs approximately $2.00 per meal. Fruits or vegetables are a part of every snack or meal.

• $500.00 buys 400 snacks or 250 breakfasts

• $100.00 buys 80 snacks or 50 breakfasts

• $50.00 buys 40 snacks or 25 breakfasts

NOTE: The Food Bank of York Region acts as the transfer payment agency for donations made to York Region Food for Learning for student nutrition programs.
